VibeHire Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using VibeHire ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Platform.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use VibeHire. By using the Platform, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these terms.

3. Accounts

You sign in to VibeHire using GitHub OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your GitHub account and for all activity that occurs under your VibeHire profile. You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

4. Platform Rules

When using VibeHire you agree to the following:

  • Posting gigs: All gig listings must accurately describe the work required. Misleading, fraudulent, or spam listings are prohibited.
  • Applying to gigs: Applications should be genuine and relevant to the gig. Mass-applying with generic responses is not allowed.
  • Messaging: Communication between users must remain professional and relevant to the gig. Harassment, spam, and unsolicited promotions are prohibited.

5. Prohibited Conduct

You may not:

  • Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose
  • Impersonate another person or entity
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Platform or its infrastructure
  • Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to access the Platform without permission
  • Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
  • Circumvent any security or access controls

6. Intellectual Property

VibeHire and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by VibeHire and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Platform, but grant VibeHire a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display and distribute that content as part of the Platform's operation.

7. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. VibeHire does not guarantee the quality, accuracy, or reliability of any gig listings, user profiles, or communications on the Platform. VibeHire is a marketplace connecting users and does not employ, endorse, or vet any users.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, VibeHire shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the Platform.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. You may stop using the Platform at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
